Firstly I have to give special mention to my sibling. She’s hard headed and quicker to anger than I am. I’m quite proud of her actually. I expected her to lose her temper and end up dismissed. I also forgot to mention I work with my sister…

Basically I armed her with the law and we went over it all before hand but for some reason my sister was dragged in alone on the pretext that she was some kind of ring leader. She denied that, stated what we had spoken about and basically they outlined the companies policy on whistle blowing.

This isn’t the government so I don’t have to fear assassination. They may as well have raised a white flag. They’re protecting themselves on the pretext that my sister is afraid of losing her job. She isn’t. After they realised this they had no choice but to capitulate seeing as they’re moving against the law.

In short the whole thing is getting cancelled. My sister affected the work place and the managers on the floor are on her side because nobody wants to stay that late. It’s unreasonable and we are unable to do so, for the most part at least. Three of my colleagues left over it.

Everything came together quite nicely. Almost like chess. The pawns went forth and we lost a few by their own choice. All the knights, rooks and bishops did their part. Then the queen forced their King into a checkmate. I can’t take all the credit. A thank you to those who write the legislation that stops us from being abused by our employers.

I’m very proud of my baby sister for acting as the queen in this game. It was strange to watch as what I had set in place unfolded. I can only liken it to flicking back and forth between channels watching two shows at once. Like watching the first domino fall safe in the knowledge that the rest will follow it.

It went better than I expected. Knowledge is power I suppose.

When your employer attempts to mug you off.

Posted in Business, England, Legal, Misanthropy, People, Politics, rights, Work with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on March 2, 2016 by MISANTHROPIST

I said I would stop talking about work and I promise all of you I will do so but tonight I need a good moan. I appreciate that the title was very British. Sometimes in life things are too good to be true like for example my job. I was quite happy there until today. Until my employers believed I was stupid.

My work place is a changing environment. People come and go, regulations/policy change has happened twice during my time there. However they try to paint it, I’m not stupid, I’ve looked them up. I learned a long time ago that you have to do your research. Never go in completely blind.

Ex-employees have restarted the company and despite the turn over its going quite well. I understand employees have to make small sacrifices in order to ensure the welfare of the company especially at an early stage. I understand from the point of view of the employer.

I don’t appreciate being lied to about the small things but being a misanthrope these lies dominate most of the conversations I’ve had and will ever have. Even if you can see them and they irritate you it would do you no justice to point them out. Let them feel comfortable in their lie. Sometimes you have to.

There is a certain part that bothers me, one in which I find myself disinclined to acquiesce to my employers request. It’s the part where they’re taking an almost illegal punitive measures. They expect me to work outside of my contractual hours without compensation for my time or efforts.

This being illegal. If my contract states this and it doesn’t fall in line with the law of the land then it becomes null and void or at least the clause stating that I should do so. Basically I’m not legally required. Willing or even able to work that hour. Especially not without pay.

I complained about HMRC previously but in this case it was their website where I gained a greater understanding of my rights. I had an idea this wasn’t legal but now I’m backed by law. Dismissing me for refusing to work that extra time is good for an unfair dissmissal tribunal.

This should be a barrel of fun. My colleague is a member of a union who I will consult through him and provide evidence where necessary. I’m about to butt horns with a stagg. It’s a good thing the lion still has claws. I’m prepared to get my way, negotiate if necessary or for zero hour. I have to be thankful, I’ll admit to that, to the state in this case. It will be the first time it has ever worked in my favour.

I know 80-90% of the company is not on board but just how many are willing to stand up and shout ‘I am Spartacus.’ I bet 70% would across the company. Some are willing to walk out but I’d like if I could solve this without any of my co workers leaving. I like them. It’s just sad that I have a greater picture than people who have been there so long. Maybe a better nose for people’s bullshit.

Like I said I’m willing to be political about this. I’m willing to strike a deal to my advantage or to equal advantage but I’ll obviously push for my best interests and prospects. After all they’re in the wrong. I want to keep the job but I’m not worried about losing it too much.

I actually enjoyed my job before all this fuckery. Obviously I haven’t revealed the extent of my aresenal in this post. Showing one’s hand is foolish. I’ve only put it out there that I know my rights and this is the general sentiment. If our company is democratic as it should be then we will win.

I was a part of a walkout today. All of us collectively said ‘fuck that.’ We went home after our day had ended as per our contract. Nobody was staying and my boss didn’t even want to stay. There was some poor attempt at asserting his authority ‘ it starts tomorrow.’ Now, I know the man wants to make a living but I also know he answers to people and the equipment isn’t his.

I’m willing to work with the man if he is willing to be reasonable. Tell my man shut up and let me handle my shit. I’m moving weight at this company. Day 2 of the month and I’m 25% of my target. I like working here and my check hasn’t entered my fucking bank yet but shit when it does. I’m not going to complain.

That’s the other fuckery… From 7 plus, sometimes during lunch I deal with personal affairs and admin/finance for my home. This 8 o’clock shit isn’t gonna fly unless I get paid. Even if I did capitulate which I won’t, how the fuck am I took cook diner?

Long and ranty like most of my posts….

World wide warranty, satisfaction guarantee so if you aren’t happy just bring it right back to me.

ISIS, UK Govt dealing with extremism.

Now I don’t usually get into politics, wars, religion and things like that unless I’m outwardly chucking salt but this time it is different, this is important. I posted this up on Facebook and there was little to no attention paid to it which is sad because it means my peers aren’t educated enough to understand the far-reaching implications of this issue, and if they are unable or more so unwilling to understand and engage these issues we’re already fucked. Mine is a generation of apathy for which we may all pay the price one day in the future.

Recently my Government proposed laws to bar people who fought for the Islamic State from returning to Britain. Many people are outraged and I understand that sentiment, a lot of us are angry and even I myself was swept into this line of thought. It does seem like a good idea when in fact it is far from it. People, including myself, have reacted emotionally and not rationally to this issue. When I actually stand back and realize what a terrible idea this is I cannot help but wonder if this is an attempt by the current government to gain the popular vote for the upcoming elections or just a misguided attempt to deal with a problem that by all accounts has grown out of control.

So where to begin? Let’s start simple shall we?
By not allowing these people to return home because we assume they are terrorists we are casting aside due process and the right to be innocent until proven guilty. If we allow this to happen we are directly contributing to the erosion of our civil liberties/rights. I know many would argue that terrorists don’t have civil/human rights but there’s the rule of all or none. If we forfeit the rights of others then we are in effect forfeiting our own. It’s all well and good when it is a suspected terrorist or someone who is suspected to have engaged in war crimes but what happens when it is one of our own? When the individual is in fact innocent or there a case of mistaken identity? By that time it will not matter because we’ve discarded the processes put in place to protect us, by then we’re already screwed. And that aside, governments have never abused their power before right?

These people are citizens of the United Kingdom, in being citizens they are subject to the laws of our nation. We cannot just ignore or export the problem, they were born and raised in the UK and it is our responsibility to deal with them appropriately. Also a lot of people here maintain an attitude towards those living in ISIS held territory that pertains to ‘They aren’t us, fuck them, let them fend for themselves.’ If you open your eyes, aside from skin colour and religion they are you. Those people are human beings and we have a responsibility to them, nobody deserves to have to put up with this sort of shit. Many people maintain the simplistic view that our money should not be spent feeding, housing and clothing these individuals in one of many wonderful prison facilities across the land but if that is the case then what do they propose we do allow them to run around in their sandbox to rape and murder at will? I’d much rather they be locked away where they can be of no further to anyone.

A lot of people also argue against attempts at radicalization/rehabilitation, many of them not realizing that a lot of the individuals who travelled overseas originally did so to fight against an opressive regime. Others did leave with the intention of fighting for ISIS but when they got there it wasn’t what the believed it would be, such is the folly of idealists. Many have tried to return home, few people actually have the stomach for war let alone outright genocide of a people. That isn’t to say we should feel sorry for them or they should not be punished, they deserve to be punished to the fullest extent of our laws. Again, we should deal with our problem. When you do not allow these individuals to return home they becomes stateless and in making them stateless we create much more than an individual who make a huge fucking mistake, we create a desperate situation that can only lead to more violence. We create an enemy of the state with no other option but to fight against us.

Even without considering those points allowing them to return home and monitoring their activities would provide valuable intelligence in our fight against ISIS. Another main point of this post is that there are many more intelligent ways of dealing with our current situation. Barring them from reentering the United Kingdom is the absolute wrong answer. If this isn’t a misguided attempt at dealing with our problem and rather an attempt to gain the popular vote then our leadership is even more incompetent than I ever imagined, dangerously so. The fact that many of my contemporaries don’t understand or are indifferent to my points about civil liberties is saddening. It basically means we’re already waiting to get fucked. I can understand people being angry and reacting emotionally to what is a barbaric and desperate situation but what I cannot understand nor forgive is the indifference, that is worse than the stupidity. That indifference has allowed some of the greatest evils in history.

People are stupid, our government more so and I have very little faith in my generation. Either way this is our problem and it’s about time we dealt with it, intelligently and precisely.

Re-post. No, not the reddit kind…

In retrospect airing my personal problems on the internet isn’t the smartest of ideas, going into details without fully explaining the Trilogy to you all would be pointless. All I can say is I’m hurt, quite badly actually. I hit a point where I didn’t think your heart could break twice. We all make mistakes but some are definitely worse than others. Careful deception implies a direct intent to deceive. I was always taught that you’re honest with the people you love. Turns out this is not always the case.  A volatile reaction to such a grand deception was a given. Honestly I’m not proud of the things I said but what’s done is done. The offer to fix things was sweet, really, but coating a blade in honey doesn’t make the wound any less painful.

I’d play as though I’m alright but the fact that I was drinking beer at 5am because I couldn’t sleep determines that was a lie. I guess it was a manly and acceptable form of a break down, well fuckin’ bravo me. I’ve never shook with anger before in my life. In fact before all this I don’t think I knew what anger was. I drank way too much and smoked cigarettes just sitting there for a while. I can’t let my life stop because of it. I’m just focusing on not falling into depression because it just isn’t worth it.  Depression helps nobody. I guess I’ve learned a lesson from all this. It sucks but pain is the best educator. Just to think, all of this pain could have been avoided by telling the truth, even a bitter truth. Sometimes I wonder if people will ever learn.

The most insulting thing is, that for a second there she thought I was stupid.

David ‘1984’ Cameron.

DC
Hello again readers, today I’m going to be writing about a special individual. Prime Minister of the United Kingdom: David Cameron. By all accounts a complete wanker. I once saw a wiki-leaks cable where the Central Intelligence Agency said something along the lines of  ‘An ineffective and indecisive leader.’ Good old CIA bang on, as per usual. If the NSA is reading this please pass a message onto the CIA for me? You didn’t have to spend all that money and use all that technology when I could have told you this after the first year of his reign as glorious overlord of the British government. Now usually this posh wanker is politically impotent and I really can’t say he’s done anything for anyone in his time as PM but his latest stunt would make Hitler, Stalin and Mao so proud.

1292856439111
You may remember my ‘dey turk our porn’ post from a while back, well this is the evolution of the bullshit we thought that we as a nation had put to rest. Cameron is redoubling his efforts and trying to pass the same law under the guise of tackling terrorism and extremism. For our safety! 1984 anyone?
This should be the last straw, dare I say that we were better off under Blair, I know I’m not voting for anything or anyone that supports censorship under the guise of protection. I will vote for anything or anyone that gets this idiot out of office. How is he even in office? He’s a posh wanker who is so out of touch with the realities of the common man that it isn’t even funny. Only under our current government could you be arrested for comments you made over the internet… We’re a country slowly being stripped of our freedoms.

scumbag cameron

I hear many people say write to your MP but is there really any point when they don’t address the question you’re asking, skirt around it and treat you like an idiot. If your local MP is conservative there’s no fucking point putting pen to paper because why would they concern themselves with opinions of the unwashed masses? Once they have your vote they cease to give a fuck about your opinion entirely. The next election cannot come around fast enough. I mean voting conservative is great if you’re middle class/upper class and have plenty of money but if you’re not either of those things you might as well grab the nearest phallic object and sodomize yourself with it repeatedly because that’s basically what you’re doing by voting for these  people.

A lot of people wonder why my generation are uninterested in politics and for the first time in my life I can say I understand it. What’s the point of playing a losing game? You vote for nationalists you get Nazis, you vote for conservatives you get the beginnings of a totalitarian regime, you vote for Liberal Democrats you get political impotence. Who is left to vote for that actually has a chance of winning. I wonder if the Monster Raving Looney Party are still on ballot papers?

Sorry, ranting a little bit there. No, I’m not sorry. I’m genuinely pissed off. They’re doing this because ‘hurr durr extremism’ but I’m pretty sure our nations security services were doing just fine dealing with it before someone had the bright idea to censor the last bastion of free press. This whole censorship idea is unnecessary and frankly disgusting. They are basically censoring contrary opinions and as nasty and as much as I disagree with them I will defend these assholes rights to express them. If we allow this then when does it stop? How far do these powers reach?
How long will it be before we cannot express our disdain against for our government before being thrown into work camps or re-education. Does it end before or after we live in a police state resembling George Orwell’s classic 1984?

wanker
Somebody send this idiot a copy of that book and make him read to see if he can draw the parallels that everyone else has. Back to what I was previously saying. If someone posts an extremist viewpoint on Reddit or 4chan then will big brother block these websites too? These powers are a little far-reaching for my liking, maybe they’ll even use these new powers to silence political opponents or who knows. All I know is that this cannot be allowed to happen for the sake of the freedom and my country. I hope that maybe the EU will step in a do something about this because in a word, this is just wrong. The quicker this Stalin wannabe is kicked out of office the better or I might end up in a gulag for this post.

I thought I saw a tear roll down Kim-Jong-Un’s cheek.

What the actual fuck?

I recently read an article saying that EA digital purchases are going to be more expensive on next-gen consoles. My first thought was ‘ha that would be a bitch if EA actually made good games.’ Then I saw a few on the list I liked and it began to bother me a little. To give you a real idea a normal game here is something like £40 maybe a little more if you bother with all that special edition crap. They’re looking at charging you around £62 for their games. What the actual fuck? What gives a piss poor company like EA the right to charge so much for these games, it’s an insult really. I’ve often asked myself how such a company that makes such a poor product could still exist, I honestly hope that pulling this crap is the death of Electronic Arts but it won’t be. Unfortunately. Also if these games are available in stores of their usual price why is somebody going to spend the extra money? Some sort of extra content maybe?
Good thing that AC:4 and BF:4 are available on the PS3 because to be honest these two games are the only reason EA sees a penny of my money other than that the rest of their products aren’t worth bothering with. No shit to their original creators or developers, I have no issue with them, just EA.

Oranjeboom, alcohol and public drinking.

Somebody once told me they’d never tried a good Dutch beer, I didn’t really agree or disagree seeing as I’ve had some passable dutch beer in my time. I remembered a brand of beer I recognized my father drinking all those years ago. It was called Oranjeboom. I don’t often drink lighter beers but if I’m going to drink something light and refreshing I’ll definitely spend a night drinking this stuff and since I rediscovered it I have done.
oranjeboom
There’s a little visual aid for class. If you can get a hold of this where you are give it a go. It’s a lot better than most of the shit on the shelves at your local Off-License, Liquor store or wherever you purchase your alcohols. I don’t think I’ve ever seen it on tap at bars or pubs. It is usually a little more expensive than other larger/beers and priced a little higher too. Money to match quality I guess. No real hangover. A good all-rounder really.

While we’re on the subject of beer I find the whole no public drinking law bullshit, I don’t know if any of you are remotely common enough to drink a beer during a long walk on a summer’s day. Well now I am legally not allowed to do at risk of a fine all because of a few idiots. I occasionally enjoy drinking in public, I’m never belligerently drunk and I don’t cause trouble while I drink. I just drink and now because of a few assholes anyone that wants to drink a beer in the park or wherever is suddenly a criminal.

Idiots and a Nanny State… great combination.
