How am I not hearing this on the radio already?
How am I not hearing this on the radio already?
The woman I slept with on a drunken night many months back is now a porn star. I don’t know whether that’s an achievement unlocked or what. I don’t judge, I told her that as long as she’s safe and happy I support her decision. After all she’s a big girl and can make her own decisions. So yeah I’m now friends with a porn star. Yes I was kinda shocked to learn this.
No I don’t have links…
I saw her for the first time and immediately thought ‘wow’ she can break my front line any time. The internet is currently going batshit over this woman and I’m okay with this. Her name is Natalia Poklonskaya she’s the Crimean attorney general, seemingly as intelligent as she is beautiful. Suddenly I want to watch the news. I didn’t really have anything to say in this post but damn she’s hot. I think the uniform adds to it and I’ve always been a sucker for that accent.
She has just be appointed Attorney General of my heart.
Edit: I dun goof’d there. Crimean, not Ukrainian.
A lot more than they should. I was led to believe that if you own a cellphone you answer the thing, apparently I was wrong. A friend of mine called me this evening to help him out with a relatively simple task, I don’t mind and it isn’t like I had anything better to do. We finish our initial conversation and I expect to see him within the next 40 or so minutes, during that time I get another call saying that the person we’re supposed to be meeting can’t make the drive so we’d have to walk to his house. I’m a patient man, small setbacks like this are of little consequence to me. As far as I know he’s headed over and I get the bright idea to call ahead, preventing him from having to walk half a mile back on himself when he reaches my house. No answer.
I try again, he’s on the phone. I try again, same thing. I call once more but he doesn’t answer, which I could put down to the fact that he has to traverse several dangerous shit-holes on his way here. I call once more and it gets cut off. Now none of this would have been an issue if he’d simply answered and cancelled. This would have saved me hanging around, fully dressed and ready to go. Whatever happened to answering the damn phone? I don’t have a cell phone but if I did I’d answer the fucking thing, especially if I’m keeping someone waiting. I’m not going to have a shit fit at him for cancelling on me. This has me reasonably irritated. I’m pretty sure the point of owning a damn phone is that you can be contacted.
Simple things man, simple things…
I think I’m going to write about this one first as it is the easiest topic on my list. I ended up going to the studio for the first time the other day to check it out and get acquainted with the guy who manages the place. It’s a nice professional little studio attached to a digital media suite. My friend then tells me he has access to all this because he’s studying there for some digital media qualification and he needed me for an interview on retro gaming, which is part of something he’s putting together for a final piece.
If it’s done professionally and graded well enough it will be aired. I don’t know too many of the details of that but I do know that during this project we’ll have regular access to both the suite and the recording studio. It’s gotten quite complicated suddenly, we recorded the interview in the sound room and I talked about what’s retro to me. Sonic, Golden Eye on the N64 and the first Metal gear game. I took time to talk about how games are too easy and linear nowadays. I can’t remember the last time I was stuck on a level for more than a few hours let alone months at a time.
When he finally got around to playing some of the music he’d already made it sounded good. I was surprised, I knew he had ability but it sounded professional and he said the studio’s sound guy wouldn’t mind looking it over and adding final touches for him after everything was finished. The thing that really gets me is that I’ve visited this area all my life and I had no idea that there was a studio there. It all seems to have gotten a bit complicated but we’ll definitely get to record and he has complete reign over his project so I have a feeling it’ll be fun.
A few surprises but everything turned out better than I’d expected. I still have to lug my amp up there though.
I haven’t posted much lately, not for lack of material, I just haven’t had it in me but I’m feeling much better now. So much has gone on since I last posted: developments in the studio, possible third world war, a Malaysian airplane was hijacked and I went to party so there’s plenty for me to write about and I will do so today. I’m recovering from the Jagerbombs I had last night…
Time for a California hang-over cure!
